Internships
PBIA offers internships to provide both college and high school students with real world work experience in a variety of careers and industries.
Real world work experience is invaluable, especially to many of today’s students preparing to enter the job market on their way to a career. PBIA can help.
Real World Experience
Actual experience can be the best educator, especially when students have the opportunity to work in areas, industries, programs, and subjects that interest them most.
PBIA partners with businesses and organizations locally and beyond to create bespoke internship opportunities for individual students. This allows students to gain both experience and insight into various industries and roles, giving them a leg up in entering the workplace or in furthering their education in – and out of – school.
Internship Highlights
Some of the internships our students have completed:
Successful Development of Local Businesses and Nonprofits
Our interns played a crucial role in the flourishing of local businesses and the success of various national and international non-profit initiatives. This hands-on experience equipped students with practical skills and insights, contributing to the growth of both sectors.
Impactful Contribution to a School in Guatemala
Interns made a significant impact on a school in Guatemala, actively participating in projects that supported education and community development. This experience provided a unique cultural immersion and contributed to the betterment of the local community.
Philanthropy Integrated into Daily Life
Interns not only explored but also lived the philosophy of philanthropy as a way of life. This went beyond the conventional internship experience, instilling in them a deep sense of social responsibility and a genuine passion for making a positive impact on the world.
Realization of the Promise of Youth Initiative
Interns actively participated in the “Promise of Youth” initiative (begun by the late General Colin Powell), witnessing the empowerment of young individuals, and contributing to the development of creativity and leadership skills.
