OUR HISTORY
35+ Years of History
Not only has PBIA helped educate and nurture over 2 generations of students, but also the school itself has grown and evolved throughout the process.
PBIA did not set out to reinvent education. By allowing our students to teach and guide us with their own educational needs and interests, our school has continued to shape itself into a model for the future of education.
Trace our evolution in the timeline below.
1989
Founding
Tutoring sessions were offered for students in Joanne Weiner’s Art Studio. The tutoring services were so popular that students began asking for a full-time program.
1996
Integration with the Equestrian Community
Following the needs of our students, the school partnered with the Wellington equestrian community to deliver flexible education for student athletes, earning recognition and support from local leaders and families from around the world.
2013
PBIA Wellington Campus
With enrollment growing, the school responded by creating a dedicated center in Wellington, providing a space for comprehensive education, creative innovation, and expansive growth, and then changing its name to Palm Beach International Academy.
